The purpose of our design is to promote the return of handkerchiefs in daily life and raise every-body’s consciousness of public hygiene. The research of traditional handkerchiefs and the current situation of virus transmission has led us to the idea of “Maskerchief” -- a multifunctional handker-chief that can be transformed to a 6-layer cotton gauze mask by simple folding for emergency use other than its normal function of wiping and covering. Maskerchief can reduce the impact on the others when we are unwell as well as the threat to our health when we are in an unhealthy environ-ment. We hope more people will carry such maskerchiefs with them, concern for the others, and protect ourselves while protect the environment, too.

本次设计希望在疫情褪去之后，倡导手帕的回归，提高民众的公共卫生意识。我们在对传统手帕研究之后，结合此次病毒传播的情况，做出了一款手帕改良设计——口罩手帕。它除了原有的擦拭、掩口鼻的功能外，经简单折叠即可变身为一个6层棉纱的应急口罩，以减小自己身体不适时对他人产生的影响，或身处不良卫生环境时，对自身健康状况产生的威胁。我们希望更多的人，把这样的口罩手帕带在身上，更把他人放在心上，保护自己的同时，保护这个我们共同的家。
